Around the Web
I get distracted very easily. Even now I took a brake after writing this sentence. Ok, it is not always this bad, but to say at least – distraction is not something unfamiliar to me. Sometimes it is because there is so much to be done that I get overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. Sometimes it is just me enjoying the abundance of the web. This post is about what I have found there recently. If you want to start with fun/not food related stuff scroll down to point #8.
1. In case you find yourself without a kitchen but don’t want to rely solely on take out – click here. Olga is a master of planning and organization so I am sure you’ll find few helpful tips there how to keep your sanity during “no kitchen” time.
2. Reading her post about moving and cooking in a hot weather reminded me of this soup. We’ll be going to Poland in few weeks so either I need to make sure to have some there or prepare it here. And soon.
3. Talking about hot weather – mint is quite refreshing in any form but this ice cream recipe looks especially tempting. Ice cream + summer is my favorite combination. But won’t lie. I’ll take ice cream any time.
4. Same blog, different recipe. With this one sangria was the word that caught my attention. If there is sangria in it, it has to be good, right? So click here for Peach Sangria Popsicles.
5. All that sweet filled recipes made me hungry for actual food. You know, something that actually will provide some nutrition. Look at this. It looks amazing and I would totally have it for dinner tonight. Already at my “to do” list.
6. I am a sweet girl. I really am. Pun intended. And this is what I would like to have for breakfast sometime soon. On a side note – cherries are crazy expensive here. Have not idea why (if someone knows, please share!). It makes me think a lot about times when I was eating them for breakfast lunch and dinner, or until my tummy couldn’t take it any longer, straight from my grandpa’s tree. And it makes me want a cherry tree in my future backyard. Eh…. Girl can dream.
7. Peaches. I have some in the kitchen and I am wondering what to do with them. Eat fresh would be probably the best idea, but then I wouldn’t be discovering anything new and this just goes against my inner self. I’ve been browsing and this cocktail could seriously quench some thirst. But on the other hand this clafouti is very tempting. And looks quite straightforward. I’ve been also wanting to make this galette for some time now, but thinking about making the crust makes me say ehh.. another time... I need to decide what to do with those peaches.
8. Well, it may look like I was reading a lot about cooking lately.. but that’s not exactly true. This is the place that just sucked me up yesterday. What can I tell you.. I love quizzes. And these are too much fun to pass by. You just click, and click and click to find out at the end how fabulous you are! I am telling you, it is worth your while!
I will end with this. Hope you’ll have a great weekend and discover something tasty! 🙂
