Recipes I Would Love to Try and More
If you have wondered, and I am sure you have because what else you could have been doing in your spare time, what I (can’t capitalize it more) have been doing lately this post is for you. And before I proceed with details let me summarize my recent activity for you – I’ve been trying to organize my life. Daunting task you may think. I agree, but in order to move forward with any new project I need to be under impression that I’ve regained some control over my life. And this is part of it.
I enjoy reading blogs. Mainly food blogs, but travel, parenthood, crafts and more interest me also. So, naturally, I sign up for every newsletter I can. New blog, baam, newsletter form filled out. Downside of such approach is that my inbox gets flooded with emails and I loose control of it. And as we already established, I like to have (some) control over things in my life. In an effort to do just that, control it, I created a folder at my gmail account where I filter all those fun newsletters. The idea was to go there once/twice a week and scan the content, pick and choose, have some fun and get some inspiration. As I go through these emails I usually “put aside” some recipes for “try in the near future folder” and articles I have no time to read in the “for later” folder. Do you see where I am going with this? Total mess and endless folders. But for now I have no better solution, so I let it be. But where I was, oh yes, newsletter folder.
As you may remember I was pretty inactive here due to my new sweet responsibilities. Well, this included also newsletter folder – because although I could check what’s there and probably enjoy it, I wouldn’t be able to organize it further and use my “for later” folder, would I? I know. Makes no sense whatsoever. So what have I done with over 2000 emails in my newsletter folder? The next logical things anyone else would do. Comb through them in case I missed something interesting/fenomenal/absolutelyworthmyprecioustime. It took me entire day. Just to clarify – I am not completely nuts. Some newsletters, from places I haven’t fall in love yet, I deleted (uhmmm… after quick scan of the subject lines). But still, my son spent a good portion of his waking hours on the floor today. Yay tummy time! And thank <blank> for Sophie Giraffe.
Anyway, it wasn’t all wasted time and I’ll prove it to you. Here go recipes that I have found and really would love to try. Of course I am being nice and include only few of them. More links will follow in the future. Plus there is one non-recipe link that you absolutely MUST click. It is about Google, food and Google. Such a nice read. So please, click here.
It is still summer here, so if you are like me, you’re still trying to loose some weight 😉 Just kidding. French fries have been and always will be a love of mine, but I may cheat on them from time to time. These look like options worth exploring, don’t you think? I am also absolutely blueberry crazy so this recipe caught my attention right away. Definitely a keeper. And if you plan throwing a party this summer and jaw dropping effect is desired this cake may be something for you. Why I haven’t think about that I really don’t know. And last but not least – not sure if I actually attempt trying this recipe (looks like it requires some time and precision!) but surely would love to taste the final product. Yum! If you haven’t noticed while looking at the last two recipes, this blog is where some serious magic happens ALWAYS.
Have a great weekend! And “see” you on Monday!
